Electrical Engineer – Job Description

Role Overview

 

As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, develop, and support electrical and control systems for heavy plant equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and automated operation across a global portfolio of projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Design electrical systems for:

Asphalt plants

Crushing & screening systems

Concrete batching plants

Develop control panels, wiring diagrams, and schematics

Program and configure PLC and automation systems

Support installation, testing, and commissioning of plant equipment

Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues on-site and remotely

Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations

Work closely with mechanical engineers and project teams

 

Required Skills & Experience

Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering

Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls

Knowledge of:

PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)

Motor control systems and drives

Industrial automation and instrumentation

Ability to read and produce electrical schematics

 

Desirable

Experience in heavy plant, quarrying, or process industries

Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring

Experience with international commissioning or site work
