Are you an experienced HR professional looking to take ownership of a busy HR function within a well-established business?

We're recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join an established fire and security company based in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, leading a small HR team while supporting the business across the full employee lifecycle.

Experience within the Fire & Security industry would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the HR function, providing both strategic and operational HR guidance.
• Supervise, coach and develop two direct reports within the HR team.
• Oversee learning and development for the company.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, probation reviews and employee development.
• Ensure all screening and vetting processes are completed in line with BS7858 standards, including DBS checks.
• Support managers with employee relations matters, providing practical HR advice and guidance.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records.
• Take minutes during formal HR meetings when required.
• Review and improve HR policies and processes to ensure compliance and best practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Previous experience working as an HR Manager or in a senior HR position.
• Experience managing and developing a HR team.
• A strong understanding of HR best practice and employment legislation.
• Knowledge of BS7858 screening and vetting procedures, including DBS checks (essential).
• Experience within the Fire & Security industry.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident minute-taking and document management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, empathetic and solutions-focused approach.
