About Us
We are a leading, privately owned Main Contractor based in Leicestershire and undertake works across the
healthcare, commercial and education sectors on projects ranging in value from £50,000 to £6,500,000 on a
Design & Build or pre-designed arrangement.
We are also a specialist contractor within the medical imaging sector, and work exclusively for NHS Trusts,
Private Healthcare providers and are Approved Contractors for Medical Imaging Equipment suppliers
throughout the UK.

About You
Due to our continued growth, we are actively recruiting for an Estimator to join our close-knit team, who can
share in our exciting future. We pride ourselves on being a professional, approachable and client friendly
Contractor, so the ideal candidate should share our company values. Candidates should be self-motivated,
proactive with a positive can-do attitude. You should have an eagerness to use your own initiative and ensure
work is delivered on time with a quality finish.
The ideal candidate will be required to aid our existing Pre-Construction team in the produce of competitive
tender submissions specifically for our Construction work stream, compiled using a combination of trade
package subcontract enquiries and first-principal pricing methods.
Experience working on refurbishments projects in the above noted sectors in an Estimating capacity is essential
for this role.
Our work is nationwide and so travel and occasional overnight lodging may be required to undertake tender
surveys on relevant sites.
Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to);
As an Estimator, you will undertake or assist the pre-construction team, in undertaking the following duties;
▪ Review of tender documentation to establish subcontract trade package and material requirements.
▪ Assess tender documentation to compile individual trade package subcontract enquiries.
▪ Compilation and issuing of tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
▪ Assessment and alignment of received subcontract tenders.
▪ Identify and compile Tender Qualifications / Exclusions.
▪ Produce Tender Cost document from in-house standard form / format.
▪ Identify any ‘gaps’ in pricing and capture via means of labour / plant / material pricing from 1st principle.
▪ Ability to identify and build tender stage programmes.
▪ Produce take-offs for general works (floor finishes, partitions, ceiling finishes etc).
▪ Pricing of project Preliminaries based on programme durations and identification of preliminary
requirements (welfare, waste, protection etc).
Essential Requirements for the role;
▪ 3-5 Years Estimating experience in a Main Contracting capacity in the healthcare, commercial or
education sectors
▪ Ability to work well under pressure, to meet tight timescales and deadlines.
▪ Work well as part of a team as well as the ability to work with own initiative.
▪ Committed to work beyond the core hour to ensure timescales and deadlines are achieved.
▪ Desire and commitment to develop understanding of the role and the construction industry and
differing sectors.
▪ Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
▪ Excellent time management and negotiation skills.
▪ Successful Enhanced DBS (This will be obtained by the Company as part of the onboarding process).
Advantageous Skills / Experience:
▪ Good Understanding of JCT / NEC Forms of Contract.
▪ SMM7 and/or NRM experience
▪ Degree Qualified / Construction related qualification.
To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK .
Remuneration
▪ Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 (dependant on experience)
